How Every Mother Helps

Every Mother works with hospitals to help improve maternity care practices in support of the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative.®

CHAMPS Competency Training

Every Mother is a project partner with CHAMPS (Communities and Hospitals Advancing Maternity Practices), a division of CHEER (Center for Health Equity, Education, and Research). Every Mother developed curricula to help hospitals with required competency training for Baby-Friendly Hospital® designation. Focus areas include: counseling breastfeeding families, skin-to-skin care, how to breastfeed, hand expression, and safe preparation of infant formula. The training is currently available for Mississippi hospitals participating in the CHAMPS program.  Check out other free resources available through CHAMPS, including archived webinars for hospitals, at https://www.cheerequity.org/trainings.html
